STEP4 |
Booking the Goods: |
|
|
Goods should be properly packed
and marked. |
|
|
Submit all documents required
in route at the time of booking. |
|
|
Get the material insured &
transit through as insurance company or transporter. |
|
|
The material may be booked
at transporter Godown or Collected directly by transporter. |
|
|
On booking the transporter
issues two copies of lorry receipt also called consignment
note. |

|
The consignor copy is for sender. |
|
|
The consignee copy
in original is required for delivery by receiver of goods at destination
point. |

STEP5 |
Delivery of Goods: |

|
The goods may be
delivered directly to client's place or collected from transporter godown
as per settled terms. |
|
|
The original consignee
copy and freight is usually to be given to transporter at delivery branch
before delivery of materials. |
|
|
The delivery
order is issued by transporter, which is to be submitted
at godown for taking delivery of material. |
|
|
Check the goods before delivery.
Insist for open delivery If any package is broken or opened. Acknowledge
as per actual. |
|
|
Get an open delivery
certificate in care of any shortage / damage. Lodge your claim with insurance
company / transporter within 6 months of booking. |
